Ever wonder what champion athletes eat to prepare for the NYC Marathon? Nowness asked five champs - Brad Ludden, champion kayaker; Laura Skladzinski, a fifty state marathon record breaker; Keir Dillon, pro snowboarder; Amani Toomer, former Super Bowl winner; and Mara Yamauchi, professional marathon runner - what they eat for their pre-race meals. Skladzinski has beer, Toomer eats nothing but pizza...the answers are interesting, but the photos by Jonathan de Villiers (L'Officiel, Wallpaper* and The New York Times Magazine) are even better.
