CELLULOID CALORIES: JIRO DREAMS OF SUSHI

Keep your ears to the ground for this upcoming documentary, Jiro Dreams of Sushi. The film follows Jiro Ono, the oldest Michelin-starred chef (at 82 years of age) around, with three stars awarded to his restaurant Sukiyabashi Jiro. The restaurant is widely touted to be the best sushi joint in the world.

Director David Gelb follows Jiro as he operates Sukiyabashi Jiro from the basement of a Tokyo office building, and his son Yoshikazu as he deals with the pressure of being Jiro's successor. It's currently playing the festival circuit, so no word on when it will hit theatres. For now, just replay the trailer and drool.
