THE ART OF PLATING O'ER AT GILT TASTE

1:02 AM Reporter: the clutterer 3 Responses

When Gilt Taste snapped up both Ruth Reichl and Francis Lam to helm its editorials, we should've known good things were in store, but their new "The Art of Plating" features have really knocked it out.

Each post in the series features a well-respected chef walking us through their own plating process as it pertains to a specific dish.  The series kicks off with Michael Laiskonis, former pastry chef at Le Bernardin and the Creative Director of the Institute of Culinary Education, walking us through three plates, with each description walking us through his creative process and detailing just how much work and thought goes into each one.  Remarkable.

COOKING WITH DOG

12:17 AM Reporter: the clutterer 0 Responses

Better late than never: we're not typically huge viewers of Youtube channels, but even we took time to check out Cooking With Dog.   Frances, a talking poodle that seemingly owns a number of hats as large as his appetite, narrates us through 5 to 7 minute cooking videos of traditional Japanese dishes. Or, moreover: THERE IS A TALKING POODLE NARRATING A COOKING SHOW.
